Wide selection of udon and rice dishes. Their tempura is amazing. There are vegan-friendly options on their menu and their chicken dishes are halal. This restaurant is an awesome addition to the diverse range of eateries around the Wimbledon station area!
Nice food, good umami flavours. One member of staff could have been a bit friendlier, reciprocating a smile when a customer walks in, or answering a question with one, doesn’t cost anything.Also as mentioned before, can only hope that the trays are cleaned well since no other way to eat the tempura items. Lunch offer bundle would be nice.
I love Kineya Mugimaru Wimbledon! It's perfect for a quick casual lunch. It's so hard to find a good authentic Japanese Udon place, and Kineya Mugimaru's soup stock and noodles are one of the best so far!

Great jazz music calming your nerves after a busy day as a starter. Then wonderful hot meal ( mine is udon) with chili paste and you are happy! Highly recommend
Eaten here recently. The foods are fine and tasty. I though feel that it is a bit more pricey for the amount served. Also no plate given when dining in. I presume that they are sanitising the wooden trays very well and these trays are becoming the plates when eating in.
Great ramen place in Wimbledon! My daughter lives it, and we have been several times to eat in and take away. Food is fresh and delicious. Staff are very friendly. It can get crowded but that’s because it is a small shop. Have tried several of the dishes (all tasty), including many vegetarian options, some bao buns, and some options from the tempura selection - it is all very good. And the prices are wallet friendly. Highly recommend Kineya Mugimaru!
Nice casual eatery for authentic asian food. Budget friendly (£8.5 chicken katsu curry udon!) Mostly noodles are served and are chewy texture like how it is supposed to, but it may not cater to your taste if you are not used to it! Some of the sauce/soup base can be a bit too rich for some dishes, but I would say its the opposite for the tonkotsu. Overall a good experience.
